A parcel arrived today

Tuesday, August 15, 2006

I received a wonderful parcel in the mail today, from my dear friend Chloe . She knows me so well and chose things that she knew I would love. And I do. And I love her for our friendship even more. She was so sweet to have thought of both boys as well and sent them each something. I wasn't able to get a photo of those things in the boxes with my things, because they were off and playing so quickly.

My son made sure that we got everything out, and then he proceeded to play with the packaging. The cats even got in on the fun.

The babe also thought that the box was great amusement.

My son wanted to know why we'd never met Chloe before. She lives far away, across the ocean, I explained. Well, we should make her a video and say thank you, he decided. And so we did. I will try and post it here some day, after is has been shared with her.

Isn't it great to have such great friends that you haven't even met? Looks like lots of nice goodies and of course the kids ALWAYS want the box, lol.

    Great pictures.

It was a lovely parcel, with a notebook and pencils, a summer-themed cd, a home-made bag and many other treasures.

    And kids and boxes! :)

Yay! A summer themed package at the tail end of the season itself...makes it last longer for sure!

And, of course, cutie likes the box the best!

Boxes are the best toys! I remember unwrapping presents... you take them out of the box and play with the box first. The actual present can wait until the box has been completely destroyed... I mean, played with throughly.

Was there bubble wrap? Bubble wrap is almost as fun as boxes! (No, I still haven't grown up yet)

Isn't that sweet Cathy. It so cool that you two are such good friends via blogging.

And she's away right now, so you've got plenty of time to put together your video thankyou.

That's for sure; we all love Chloe here :)

There was a wee bit of bubble wrap around an ornament, but it got thrown out before we popped it (bad mum)...SSHHHH, but I have actually bought bubble wrap from the office supply store for the sole purpose of popping it (with my son, of course)

It is cool. I amazes me how close one can get having not even met.
We made the video right away; it's very cute.

    Thank You :)
As soon as I took the photo, he leaned back and the box started to rip! I caught him just in time!

It is growing so fast; we need to get it cut, but I still can't bear to take his curls off...
(I have a package for you, but I just need to find time to go out and get some note paper and then mail it! Some day soon....)

I love your idea! Let's do it. When? Where? Just say; I'm in.

I love the summer music cd, and my son loves it as well (and he is musically hard to please). Unfortunately I went on a road trip today and the cd player in the car wasn't working :( And...it was a windows rolled down, hair blowing out the window, summery kind of day.

Youa re so right; join Sophie and Chloe and I on a planned trip; any ideas for when, where....I think London; what say you?

Chloe is always full of great ideas.
