Spring is springing...

Wednesday, March 29, 2006

I could actually venture outside without a coat or sweater on and take a look at what was popping up in the garden. I am going to go to the garden centre and get some organic fertilizer and help give things a boost. The weather is supposed to be the same tomorrow so I hope to be able to do a wee bit of gardening tomorrow (as a writing break, that is :). Today is the first day that really feels like spring and the temperature is 14 degrees C. I am taking my son for a haircut later and then having dinner out with the boys. The only bad thing about the day is the fact that I have to go to the dentist tonight. Ugh. Airplanes and dentists; I don't know which I hate worse.

    First comment!! Holy crap!!

I love the photos of your little spot on the globe. They always remind me of our family trips to Cape Elizabeth in Maine.

The dentist may suck, but at least it gives you oppurtunities to get outside. ^_^

P.S. >> I don't know if you saw my comment a few posts back, but may I please have your email address?

    Hi Cathy,
Just happened upon your blog and would like to add my 2 cents worth on which is worse and the winner is........

There's not a good one in the bunch. You sit in that chair, with a bib, a sucking 'question mark' in your mouth and every now and then, just to put you in total agony-they spray air on your exposed tooth. You know when they leave the room? It's not to do an exray, or get something...it's to laugh at you!

But enough about dentists-your blog is interesting and I love Canadians as does my wife. We're going to move there some day soon or sooner if Bush keeps driving me insane. What an idiot!!

Great pictures and for the record, you don't look a day over 26!

    Have fun,

    Bryan G.

    I don't like dentists either.
Don't most little boys your son's age hate the barber too?

you'll do just fine at the dentist! I promise.

I did yard work yesterday, but the collector wont be coming until mid April. What am I suppose to do with all that tree and leaf waste?

Well love your yellow flowers. Are those crocuses?

    Evening dentists?

Which are more disliked worldwide dentists or traffic wardens?

Another reason to not like dentists they're very wealthy!

Oh your pictures are very pretty. Spring is wonderful.

So sorry you have to go to the dentist. I am just the biggest chicken when it comes to that poor man. My dentist is so cute and so nice and he knows I just can't stand to see him.

Hope you get a good report and you are out of there fast!!

    Eric :)
Our family would spend vacations in Maine quite frequently, but I have mever heard of Cape Elizabeth before; must look it up! I must have missed that comment somehow; so sorry...e-mail on the way shortly.

Welcome! What a lovely comment, especially the bit about being 26 :)

    Thank You; Happy Spring!

I am always so happy when the weather finally gets warm enough to start turning the soil over...the only problem is to find the time!

Is your weather starting to get a bit cooler?...

I wish you could visit! We could have kaffee und kuchen on the deck and watch the fishing boats glide by.

My son loves getting his haircut because he goes to a woman who coos over him and gives him a sucker afterwards.

    Yes, crocuses!
We have organic waste pick-up every two weeks and every week in the summer.

My dentist works a few evenings a week; she actually used to be my neighbour and it is kind of odd having a friend be your dentist, but at least she knows that I hate her ;)(joking, I mean hate her job)

    No caveties; woohoo!

    Devil Mood;
You are having a rather wet spring, it seems?...I hope the weather improves for you today.

A cute dentist is even better than a friend who is a dentist! No caveties for me :)

When you start to prepare your soil for gardening you should add some bags of manure (any kind), peat moss (if your soil is very compact), and bone meal and blood meal. I think I feel a gardening post coming on....

Thank you :) Have a great day; I am wondering, like I had also asked Meow, if your weather is getting a bit cooler now; and did you ever get the air conditioner fixed?

My vote is for dentist as well (for now, until the next trip...)

Thank You! How is your west coast weather lately?...

We are psychologically linked. No doubt about it. I hope your day is well, my dear friend. xoxo

You go and make an appointment right now, young man, do you hear me ;)...before you get bad teeth like Austin Power ;)

  1. Blogger missbhavens said:

well...at least you don't have to FLY to the dentist!

What are those pretty yellow flowers??

  1. Blogger blackcrag said:

It must have been a day for posting pictures... Chloe and I both did the samr thing.

That picture over the water is amazing. You made me realise I've been too long away from the coast.

Next time I go to my parents' I'll take/share some pictures of the view from their porch... straight across Georgia Strait.
