I haven't been blogging much these past few days. Post-vacation and work and birthdays have me hopping. I will likely be back to read your posts more and post myself more by next week if not sooner.

My parents and my sister are back from seeing my brother. He is well but not well. Still in the intensive care ward and still having bad epileptic seizures. The concern is how this is affecting his brain. My mother told me tonight that the doctor informed them that he will not work another day in his life. He will get through this but his condition is about as far from ideal as one can imagine. He is married and has two daughters. He has been dealt a bad card in life. As have so many.

    I'm so sorry about your brother...That was a really bad card. But we should never start believing and hoping for the best (look what happened with my grandma, the doctors didn't give her much chance and she's getting a lot better).

    What spring weather? It went from winter to summer down here. it was 90 today.

    I hope your brother gets back to his peak. I hope he focuses on how lucky he is with his wife, kids and family like yourself and not just on this bad card. I know thinking this way helped my Dad through some tough times and will do again in the future.

    Thanks so much for all your comments!

    I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth; just really swamped this week. Mostly work but also birthday party central and then on the telephone a lot regarding my brother and such. He is more alert now but this is going to be a long haul that unfortunately does not have a particularly wonderful ending. He will come through and will adjust to a new normal. In the meantime his wife is practically a single mom and his daughters are understandably upset about the whole thing.

    I will be back friends.
