Have a great week, friends.
Huge hugs!
Love the little acorn hat!
you are creative! i like Franklin. that pic is so sweet of youyr children.
Cute little boogers!! Cathy I hear Halifax is one of the prettiest towns on the East coast. Is this true?
Devil Mood;
Thank You!
And you are right; we all loved it!
Stephanie;
Thanks; they take quite a bit of time, but are fun to make. I need more time, that's all!
Crag;
Thank you and yes, most certainly! (I am just glad you didn't say this year).
MissB;
Aren't they fun?! But I need more and the ground is now covered in snow!
Holy;
The babe loves to hug his older brother. He usually obliges, thankfully.
Eric;
It took many attempts before turning out like this, believe me. But thank you. :)
Pat;
I suppose I am biased, but yes, it is a wonderful city. The best time to come is in late June/early July or at the end of the summer/ early fall. I have posted photos on my blog of touristy things, but I wouldn't even know where to begin in the archives.
I love the loving monet in the last picture. Remember these days, because soon they wont want anything to do with each other.
i love your fairies. and all your photos in this post. they are all happy and christmassy.
xxxx
Michelle;
I don't have the time; I make that as well ;)
Day;
Oh, they will be forever the best of friends, I am certain...and even best friends fight every now and then, though, right!?
Connie;
I keep giving them away so I might have one left for my own tree!
Chloe;
Thank You :)
It is even more Christmassy now with our first snow; more photos coming soon, but there's a preview on flickr.
Those faeries are just precious! You are so clever.
And who doesn't love Franklin. My boys *still* watch Franklin videos sometimes.
Don't know when you had the time but the faerie is great, what's he/she/it made from?!
Christina;
I make a trade wiht you: I'll send you a faery for something from the Weihnachtsmarkt!
fb;
The body is made from bent pipe cleaners that I wound with thread. The head is a wooden knob that I painted the face onto. The skirt and wings are made from fake flowers that I pulled the petals from. The shirt is made from felt that I embroidered the decorations onto. The hair is wool yarn that I pulled apart and braided and the hat is an acorn top (which gives you an idea of scale). SHE is tiny!
I actually got the idea from a book, so it is not my own concept. I don't make them all at once; I work on them in stages. Maybe a shirt tonight, a body tomorrow night...it's the kind of thing you can do after the kids are in bed and watching tv. But I've probably already said more than you were interested in knowing!
how precious - the piccies...
and i absolutely think the faeries are wonderful... they'll make you're tree look great
The faerie looks like a cossack!! Very sweet.
Ohhhhh your little faeries are just gorgeous!!! My mom used to make little angels using white flowers as their dresses. I got to see a Franklin play last summer at Canada's Wonderland! lol
Coolio!!! I want to hang out with that turtle!
Beautiful post Cathy ... I expect that Christmas in your home will be quite special ...
Just checking in..Your prob so busy with your crafts and holiday stuff that I should not be concerned.." eh? "
Heidi;
Thank you for your concern. xo
I can't believe it's Thursday night already. I've been busy getting things ready for Christmas, working, going to more Christmas concerts, shopping.....I am going to make a nice long post tomorrow.
Hope you're all well, friends. I'll be by to "see" you soon. xo
