Wow, great shot. I don't thinked have made such an offer,lol.
I had -27 weather today, -39 with windchill, and half a foot of snow.
Tai laughed at me, saying she was running around Victoria in a t-shirt last week. Well, I've fixed her.
If you keep rubbing your balmy weather in my face, I'll get you and your little dog too!
It is a beautiful picture though.
self imposed deadlines, hm, i know that. it's something i do when i am late and i want to please the magazine editor.
is this what happened?
okay, get it over with and next week have lots of fun. xx
Deadlines just a means to get the work stuff done so you can get back to the fun stuff :) Good luck meeting it, and may you be back to crafty things again in no time.
Holy;
It is a book for an academic press on the general topic of weather.
MomyBlogR;
I may very well regret it, but I think it is do-able, so I am actually hoping to get it done (or nearly done) by the end of today.
Michelle;
My adrenaline is being smelled all the way to Australia! I'll let the editor know!
Crag;
I have a book idea for you! I will drop you a note on your site soon.
More weird weather...
Chloe;
I have to self-impose deadlines for the majority of my work; I don't have a "boss" and so I am my own deadline-setter. Since I have been spending so much time doing fun things like crafts and such, I have let my regular pace of work slip a bit and I knew that I had to self-impose something strict, otherwise I would end up in a hole I couldn't get out of. I intend to have fun the closer we get to Christmas!
Stephanie;
You got it!
I'll send you my voice if you send me some lobsters!!!! Good luck with the chapter.
Cathy, do you ever get bouts of writers block ? I'm sure it must happen from time to time.
Do you think the tight deadlines actually help you to be more regimented about your writing ?
Questions questions...I know.
Pat;
That sounds like a fair trade; how can I get them to you?
Ben;
Writer's block; oh yeah...all the time. But the research in-between is what keeps me going. I love the research aspect of what I do, so I am never 100% blocked. And the tight deadlines are a saviour.
Eric;
Bite your tongue! ;)
I would have a hard time concentrating too if I had that kind of view out my window..especially since the temps were so mild for this time of year, all you'd want to do is be outside:-) Good luck on the deadline...sometimes the best work is done when you know you have to have it finished by a certain date!!
Good luck with that, Cathy!
I miss deadlines a little bit,though I don't like to think of the immense stress they provoked on me. Maybe I need self-imposed ones :)
"It is a book for an academic press on the general topic of weather.:
Cathy..I just quoted a reply of yours. The weather has been crazy! I have family in Vancouver and they r covered with snow. Not even a snowflake here and going to be 13 cel tomorrow!
Goodluck on the Book.
Good weather at this time of the year is just too good to miss - you know it's going to go downhill fast and so you have to take what it offers. There'll be plenty of lousy days soon enough (Friday, from the sound of it).
I can see how that would be a distraction. Good luck.
All of your positive and productive thoughts are working!
Thanks so much! I hope to have it finished tomorrow (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by saying this).
