Thank God Halloween comes but once a year...

Wednesday, November 01, 2006

Well, that was fun...hmm, tiring might describe it all more accurately. The babe was tired and not knowing what was really going on. Being stuffed into a Tigger costume and then a photo on top of it was a bit much for him, I'm afraid. I may never have a picture of him looking straight and still at the camera for the next five years. He never stops moving.
Pretty please..look at the camera!

And my older son, well, can you read the annoyance of his baby brother and mother on his face?....Fortunately his dad came soon after and they got a haul that no five year old could eat in a lifetime (well, until December, anyway).

Take the picture already, I want to get treats!

My house is over-flowing with bowls of candy, chips, and chocolate. It is obscene. I could open a sweet shop in my living room.

Want me to mail you some?

    OMG such adorable pictures!!!!!

    Ok I'll take a bag or 2 of ruffles..lol ;)

    Oh they are SO cute! I love those costumes.

    I could never, and still can't, get mine to sit still for pictures. One usually starts hitting, the other starts sobbing and there you have it.

    Plenty o' candy here, I'm afraid. No need for more. :-)

    Pat;
    Are you sure it's just one day? I think North America is undergoing a runaway sugar high effect right now. Is it irreversible? Someone ought to graph this.

    Holychaos;
    They are frequently full! :)

    Poor babe..but he looks so CUTE! :) Yes, only once a year and it seems quite enough to me hehhe

    Ben;
    As horrible as that first photo is, I think it is hilarious.

    Devil;
    I will mail some to you. With the Canadianna package that has been sitting and waiting to be mailed forever!

    Eric;
    10 houses; I swear to God; they are more than generous.

    Pea;
    I am sure that I will look back with very fond memories as well.

    Cathy ... I've been slow to allow candy into HH's diet - but it's a struggle. People in Germany are always offering him lollipops and hard candy and chocolate - even in the doctor's office! In NYC that would be considered a misdemeanor - at least. I keep saying no and he doesn't really protest but that will change soon I'm sure. I don't know the answer but I don't want him to have the same endless visits to the dentist that I had as a kid or the same problems with weight ( I was a BIG kid) ...

    All that said; your boys are adorable.

    First let me say...ahhhh!
    Okay now that I got that out of my system.

    Glad you thought about the cold climate. Sounds like you had a lot of houses giving out candy. Our neighborhood used to give out a lot, but unfortunately this area is not doing good job wise. Lucky my kids are teens and could walk far.

    I gave out candy and was disappointed for a lot of the kids that they didn't have costumes. Maybe things will be better next year.

    They look so cute. And NO, NO, NO to the mailing of candy. I'm still trying to hide my kids loot. It's ridiculous the junk they bagged. Man oh MAN!!

    Yes you can mail me some if you want Cathy! I think the kids and the pics were okay. We never had anyone at all come to our door.

    Oh thanks, Cathy! You're a 'sweet'heart if you allow me this horrible joke ;)

    They look so cute. No - you may keep it. We get fewer children round here every year (and even fewer little cute ones) and so I took 3 bags of spare stuff into work. SWMBO is very cunning as she only buys things we don't like so the temptation is minimised. She doesn't realise that we all swap stuff at work anyway.
