You play the bad guy, I'll play the good guy

Thursday, January 26, 2006

I am up to my ears in research and writing. It is great work, interesting and fulfilling. Time is eluding me, however. I really only have a few productive hours each day, if that. Such is the dynamics of the balance of life. I will not complain. There are yield signs and detours all over the place. Today's was a fight which ended up taking most of the day to sort out. Ridiculous. There is no need to attempt to explain, because this defies words, defies explanation. You can try and analyze but it is beyond even that. Don't even bother.

So tomorrow I look forward to baking and making home-made Valentines, cuddles with the babe and games by the fire.

Talk Soon, Friends.

i'm back. everybody tell me what happened. Cathy had a fight? A fight? Our Cathy?
Who upset you? Just give me a name. People who don't have sites don't have the right to be mean to us (because i can't find them!)

I'm just returning from one of life's great detours. Baking and valentines sound like a good remedy, but boy - you are early! I'm impressed :)(I'm such a procrastinator)

To bake or pick a fight? :0

I am sorry, dear. I am sort of self-directing that comment; to myself and someone else who doesn't blog. I am going to stop spekaing in riddles soon. I promise. In fact, I think I am going to soon shut this blog down and restart another blog, but I'll let you know what the URL of that one is if and when I do. You can also e-mail any time.

    No, I didn't receive them...should I try sending you my e-mail gain?

    MomyBlogR and Michelle:
Wish you were closer, really I do!

    You are so right.

Welcome back! There is a collective sigh of relief in blogland...
Yes, with my mother. Oh, and there are those who don't have sites that lurk. Therefore I will likely restart.

I can't think of a better thing to do that look forward; keep looking forward and get out of the winter season; warm our hearts with homemade Valentines.

I guess V-day is just around the corner. Other then cookies, does anybody have any new and fun ideas to enjoy with your loved one? I always fall back on massive amounts of chocolate!

    Sorry for the stress though.

  1. Blogger Cathy said:

    Oh no, not chocolates...
Anything that shows you've put time, thought and personal consideration into it.
-bake her favourite cookies or dessert
-take her to her favourite restaurant
-make up a scavenger hunt to tiny packages with little gestures that are personally meaningful.
-make her a card, rather than buy one
-and flowers, not necessarily roses; just beautiful flowers...
    -you get the idea.
-oh, and weekend get-aways. Make sure you do loads of these before you have children.

It's true: why of all the 24 hours of the day can we only make the most of 2? (sorry, my english isn't the best today)

Sorry your day's the pits, but even in bad ones, there's usually a bit a goodness to chase the crapness away, like baking cookies. ^_^

Any particular Valentine's day recipes?? We've more or less only just discovered Valentine's day here, and don't know the traditions that follow...

  1. Blogger Meow said:

Cathy, I received your email the other day. Maybe I'll try sending them to you again. There are 4 of them ... maybe they were too big for your server !! I'll reduce them in size to send them quicker ... see what happens.

  1. Blogger Meow said:

Just tried sending you those photos again, but I got an Internet Mail Delivery Failure notice saying your address is "Over Quota". Maybe your mailbox is full ??? I shall try again later today. Take care, Meow

    Devil Mood;
Your English makes perfect sense to me.

So true, even thought we didn't manage to get any cookies made.

We didn't bake anything, oh well, another day...

I have been around, not posting as many comments lately; the balance of children and work is heavy. I will be by later:)

    So true.

If there were any, I would hand them over:)

No treats, but crafty photos to come.

Now that I know this, I will most certainly try and remember to post some. Usually I make sugar cookies and cut them out with heart shaped cookie cutters.

I really appreciate you trying again. I got spammed today and just deleted a bunch of crap. Hopefully it works, if not, no worries! xoxo
