I Spy

Wednesday, December 14, 2005

Have you ever read or looked through an I SPY book? One page is filled with clutter and the next, with objects you must find in the mess. But the mess and disarray are beautifully photographed, so you don't mind staring at the page for hours (well, hours is an exaggeration, but it feels like it when you just want the child to go to sleep already). I have started seeing things around the house as pages in an I SPY book; the basket of laundry, the kitchen counter, and the toys, oh the toys...so here is one for you to play. Would you like some time to waste away?

Can you Spy:

  • a blue saw
  • a tray of croissants
  • a music stand
  • a spatula
  • 3 grey cats
  • an angel
  • a red sled
  • 6 wrapped gifts
  • Santa Claus
  • an overturned basket
  • the image of the Virgin Mary with tears pouring down her cheek (just seeing if you were paying attention, but if you do, let me know because this could make me rich)

right then... missed out the bunch of thingy-a-matchies all over the place... or does I Spy have a object size limit? nice post, cheers then!

I found them. I feel special.

I think I'm going to take my camera when I go out tomorrow and take pretty pictures. It will make the day more interesting.

Got'em! Not bad for just getting back from a "company social"(I work for a liquor distributer, good times). I really like the idea, you should do this at least once a week.

What an original idea ! Let's face it, with kids (or even with no kids), we all find bunches of stuff like that laying around. Why not make it interesting and take a photo of it ?!?!? Great fun. Found most, but I also couldn't find the spatula (and I haven't been drinking !!)

ooooh! is this the Playmobil Christmas set?
I found most of them and i bet that can make the Virgin Mary shed some tears.

Well that was very clever. I found them all. I have to say that thos "I Spy" books give me a headache. Usually won't even try.

I think I lost my sense of adventure.

    Good job,everyone! I think I might do a weekly I Spy post.

Hint: The spatula is near a pair of boots.

Chloe; Yes, it is the Playmobile CHristmas set. I think I like to play with it more than my son. Rearranging the furniture and setting up scenes.

Found them, but needed the spatula hint. I'll play i spy - but am very bad at those trippy 3-d pictures you're supposed to "see" something in. I have never managed to see a single one.

They are all there, promise (well, maybe not the Virgin Mary, but the rest are).

LOL Cathy! That was such a creative post. I really enjoyed it. (And I found everything except for the last one ;)

I just got an I Spy book at the library today... I used to have several "Where's Waldo" books when I was little and really loved them.

It might be because of the bad glare on my screen, but I found everythig but the tray of croissants(???) and that damn spatula.

I had fun doing it, so I might do this again.

Tray of croissants to the left of the picture. Spatula at the foot of a man's set of boots.
