Mission Accomplished

Sunday, December 11, 2005

This is just a sampling of what we baked today. We have enough to feed the Canadian Navy (Mr.C's words). Dibs on the green sugary one that my son used the entire bottle of green sprinkles on.
In the midst of the cookies, we trimmed the tree, and posed for photos (the worst kind!). But I wanted to show the babes's Santa hat, which matches his infamous Santa slippers, which have been lost under some piece of furniture, I'm sure.Awaiting the arrival of gifts. OK, enough Christmas for one day!
I am anxiously awaiting the season finale of Survivor.

    Your pictures are great!

Cookies look like I could pick one up right off the plate and the decorations are beautiful. Your kids are just cuties.

Cathy you better quit hiding under your hat cause you are very pretty!

Oh my gosh I just figured out why my hubby told me I could play on the computer...He is going to watch Survivor too!

We're all living vicariously through someone here in blogland; it's fun!

And people all say such sweet things here, too :) Your're not watching Survivor? Less than an hour left to wait!

Well I just lost interest after the very first season...He has been a "true blue fan".

Your tree looks beautiful, your cookies look yummy, and your baby is a total star !! The hat is beautiful, so his he. Hope you find the slipper again some time !
It's funny how winter view look so much more Christmasier (is that a word !) than our summer view. Never mind, it's all fun.
    Have a great day,

I am true blue, too. And sooo glad that Dani won! Yeah.

I often wondered if people who have had Christmas all their lives during their summer wished for winter weather. The Hollywood and commercialism influence, I suppose. I think I would miss it terribly if I lived far away from here, but on the other hand, I often think that we should go south for a Christmas break some time. Enjoy your warm weather!

Thanks, Cathy. I know I will enjoy the warmth ... we have a thunderstorm coming at the moment. Hope it doesn't hit too soon, in case the power goes out, as the Survivor Finale is on right now ... don't want to miss it !

Beautiful tree and beautiful family! Everything looks so festive.

And an aside - I'm coveting your countertops in the post where you were making cookies with your son. I love that green colour.

  1. Blogger Cathy said:

I hope you didn't miss it!
I really wanted Rafe to win, but Dani was better than Stephanie. What did you think?

It is certainly festive looking; now I just need to feel a little more festive.

The colour of the countertop is pretty, but it is not very functional becuase it stains so easily. Forget beets! Any cleaning product scratches the surface. Oh well, at least it looks nice :) Have a great day.

Gorgeous, all around! Love the little santa hat! Too dear. I just got my tree today and am finally feeling the Christmas spirit. Cookies might also help. Thanks for the inspiration!

  1. Blogger Cathy said:

Are you making a video of the tree trimming?!

  1. Blogger Meow said:

Cathy, I wanted Rafe to win, also. I also would've liked Steph to win, as there is something about her I liked. However, Dani was a worthy winner. All good, I guess. Was a good show, anyway. Can't wait for the next one.
