5 Things I am Grateful For Today

Tuesday, January 03, 2006

1. Mr. C having the day off from work. So we could spend the entire day together and dawdle around the shops, have lunch and have coffee out today.

2. Sabbatical. Because it leaves me free of hundreds of University students and allows me to set my own hours, work at my own pace, and dive into the research that I choose. And for the fact that when I show up at the office, everyone literally says "Why are you here? You're on sabbatical; shoo."

3. Weather. We have no storms, no severe weather of any kind, no massive rains, nor drought, no mudslides, no heat waves, no tornadoes or hurricanes. This is today. It could change tomorrow. But for today, I am grateful for this.

4. Children. They are healthy, and happy. My older son perhaps too happy (is this possible?). Every day of my life, I will be grateful for healthy and happy children.

5. Mr. C. Again, Mr.C. At risk of gagging some of you. For understanding that a woman can never have enough sweaters hanging in her closet. And for loving me.

What are you grateful for today?

I'm grateful I don't don't do drugs or drink because if I did with the morning/day I had I would go overboard..Unfortunalty food was the " comfort" ugh.

I'm happy for you Cathy ..You really are blessed. :)

Good things to be grateful for. And don't worry about the comfort foods; we can't deny ourselves these luxuries.

I think many of the necklaces would go. I can see why it might take you a while to decide.

Your hubby picked that out? Mine wouldn't dare!

The Automn picture is for sale $220 plus shipping. It is layers of prisma pencil. I'm glad you like it. It won first place in this years art show!

As a matter of fact, Jenny and I were talking the other day, and I mentioned Pangea (sp?). She is a college graduate and had no clue what this was..I was totally surprised...

I'm grateful for my head cold not progessing into something far worse!

(not deep, I know...but really, I get two horrible cases of strep throat a year...and I escaped 2005 strep-free so now I live in fear!)

    That's one lovely sweater...and husband...and kids!
