Crash

Friday, December 02, 2005

Mr. C just called.
Pouring Rain.
Car accident.
He is fine.
That's all that matters.
The car is dented.
Who gives a shit.
The mother calls.
To tell me my brother is
In the hospital.
He's had a seizure.
He will be fine.
That's all that matters.
I tell her about Mr. C.
She asks about the car.
Not him.
Insensitive.
To the core.
My words are spilling
Along with the tears.
We have it out.
Finally.
She starts with the memememe.
I yell it's not about you right now.
She freaks.
I freak.
Crash.
And all I can think.
To do.
Is tell you.

What a relief that Mr.C is ok, and your brother too. It sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with someone that selfish. I'm so sorry.
the way you wrote this was so moving and poetic. It made me feel your sadness.

I'm glad your brother and Mr C are going to both be okay.
For you I am sorry you are feeling this pain. I am glad you finally said something to her. I hope you at least can find some comfort there. Of course no one wants to argue with their mom but you've both been building something big within for some time.
Big hugs to you! Please send my best to Mr. C and your brother.

I know how frustrating those mememememe people can be when you're reaching out for a bit of comfort. I really do. *Hugs*

i'm so sorry Cathy! people decide to show their worst face at the worst possible moment sometimes.
But everybody is okay, so as you said, who cares about anything else? Hopefully, the weekend will make everything better. Many hugs.
    I emailed you. xx

Oooof. That confrontation was a long time coming. And there it is. And it sucks, but you're right: all that matters is that Mr C. and your brother are alright. That's all and nothing else...except that you said your peace after all this time.

    Sharing is nothing but good.
