This was the tree we made last night; gingerbread star cookies stacked up to make the tree and then decorated. Given the states of mid, it could have been worse (but better, too).

This morning marked the arrival of December. And the infamous advent calendar. Which will have my child up at the crack of dawn until Christmas. Why do we torture ourselves for the love of our child!? He loves this thing beyond explanation. In fact, he loves everything Christmas. It is inherited. He can not help it. Mr. C is a Christmas maniac. Mr. C actually stands for Mr. Christmas. Anyone seen Mr. Bean's Christmas, when he wakes up on Christmas morning and does his dance of joy? That's my husband. And now my child.
And I am feeling much better now that I've had two cups of coffee and half a dozen snowmen cookies. I am still dreading going out this afternoon, but I'll let you know how it goes. Survivor is on tonight YAHOOO!
