Devil Mood;
O.K., you're right...I love any excuse for themed crafts and cookies :)
those cookies look so so good. even though I am protesting against valentines. I plan to wear all black and growl at people if they talk to me. Yes I'm a bah humbug. I hope you get to destress.
xox
Starfish;
It's ok to feel like a bah humbug, but we all know that you are too sweet inside for this.
xoxo
I'd love to taste your cookies - they look just grrrrreat!
Richard;
I suppose I could mail a few to Germany if you sent me some spurillekuchen (SP??)...
Madelyn;
I am going to re-post it now with the recipe. They're worth it.
Richard;
You never need to thank me for stopping by (although thanks to you for the thanks:). Thank you for posting such interesting things and for writing so well!
Thanks Cathy ... for stopping by ...
Yay! thanks for the recipe!
Cathy, they look scrumptious. I'm gonna copy that recipe and make some .... yummy !!!! Thanks for sharing. Take care, Meow
Always choose cookies over sanity :) Also, Valentine's Day has irrited me just as much, if not more when I've been happily coupled for the holiday. It just seems like going through the motions. Much better to just have a spontaneous romantic gesture on an ordinary day.
I'm gonna try this, although I don't like beating eggs, I just hate it when they crack and run. Sorry I'm getting hysterical, it seems like I'm not the only one who forgot about tomorrow! LOL!!
Those cookies look fabulous! I agree...I've been home for over seven years with mine and I admit it does get hairy at times. However, I wouldn't trade a single second of any of it, EVER!
Go RELAX, then come back and have on of those cookies.
Ohh my, they look too good to eat! So pretty :) Wow, i think i'd hang them on the wall they look so cute!
Cathy may i link to your page from the Eat it Blog for today's recipe? I'm too lazy and these look fabulous.
Happy Valentine's to those who actually believe in it and happy cookie eating to the rest of us. xx
I'm staying home with two sick boys today, it's not such fun... (Although their not worse than their keeping it up on the couch, watching a dvd...)
Stephanie;
I agree completely. But it wouldn't hurt to treat yourself to a special dessert or yummy treat today, regardless...
SkyeBlue;
No hysterics while out there on the roads, you...
Connie;
You are too humble to say so, but I ebt your cookies look and taste deliciious!
MomyBlogR;
You are right; these moments are fleeting. I have to remind myselfd of this more often.
Gurgo;
Du kannst ein par nehmen...bitte...ich kann alle diese cookies nicht essen!
Michelle;
Better hanging on the wall than to my thighs! :)
Chloe;
Yes, you can link to it; I'm flattered! :)
Scholiast;
Sick children are never fun on any day. I hope they get well soon.
xoxo
OH YUM! I knew there was a reason your blog was calling my name today! :-)
You know what? I have that *exact same* sugar cookie recipe - my mother and I have been using for years but in our house it's called "Ruth's Sugar Cookies". No idea who Ruth was, but we got the recipe from a really old Kiwanis cookbook from the 50's or 60's.
Happy Valentine's Day!
MMmm...those look good!
For some reason I am reminded of Cookie Monster...maybe cause I want to eats lots of cookies now...
It might have been a lot of work and very stressful but look at those yummy cookies! He will remember how excited his friends were when he showed off the plate of cookies and he will remember you doing all of the hard work. Totally work it. :)
Happy Valentines day!
Lois Lane
(I use cream cheese, vanilla, confectioners sugar and a splash of milk for my icing. Yummers.)
Christina;
Ruth, Mary, tomatOE, tomAtoe...:) Quite the coincidence...we Canadians have good taste in sugar cookies!
Eric;
It's true...and clean houses. If it weren't for stress, I would live in a mess....(and never have good treats)
fb;
Mmmmmm me like cookies. COOKIES!.....nam nam nam nammmmmmmm:)
Lois;
That's a great idea to add cream cheese to the icing; I will try that next time and thanks! :)
The cookies look great. I am going to steal that and make some myself.
For some reason this talk of Cookie Monster has me thinking of my nieces....
Blackcrag;
Let me know how the cookies turn out. Maybe you could send some to those neices!
Madelyn;
I am so pleased that they turned out!
Heidi;
I had a decent day. I hope you had a good one :)

Oh Cathy...those look amazing! How cute! Come on, you've been talking about Valentine's day for weeks, you must enjoy it ;) But I agree that it's just the easiest way for shops to make money. Anyway, enjoy it as you can :)
