You Know You're a Good Mother When...

Tuesday, March 14, 2006

Thank you for all your lovely thoughts on this from yesterday's post. I was thinking a little less profound about my completion to the statement. Choose from the following four options:

You know you're a good mother when....

A. You love your children more than life itself.
B. You are willing to go outdoors at 9 o'clock in the morning in your pajamas in subzero temperatures with a hacksaw to cut down dead branches for an Easter Egg Tree. Just because your four year old asked you to.
C. You turn down two weeks of paid (PAID!) work in Cuba in the midst of a Canadian winter because you do not want to leave your children for that long.
or D. all of the above....

So, which is it?...but of course, I wear my heart on my sleeve, so you already know the correct answer, right?...

    Yep, the cold and the hacksaw.:)

    SkyeBlue;
    I was looking around to make sure no one saw me sawing (although it was my dead tree I was hacking)..I just didn't want to be seen in my smiley face flannels, that's all.

    Chloe;
    For you and my son; only the two of you would I do this for! Yes, post away!...and our Easter is not until the end of April, but we have a tendency to push the seasons around here.

    And yes, it is true; I regretfully declined (through a gitted toothed smile). I wish you could go in my place. Hablas Espanol mi amiga?

    Yeah well, I think it's the big "D!" But you know you're gone when you're out with the hacksaw just because it was requested, LOL!

    Love the tree.

    Well, I'd say all of the above. And I've done the dead branch thing before! :-) It's the little things that the kids remember for a lifetime.

    Love your Easter tree. We do that too every year all over the garden and I just can't get enough of those plastic eggs.
