Cute pic - what a milestone! No training wheels :) My 5 yr. old isn't quite there yet. He needs more practice.
What was the mail from the Congo? Have you got a pen pal? I had a few from Africa many years ago - they were from Ghana though.
If you are very interested in Africa - there's a book you may like (if you haven't read it yet.) I've been a fan of Barbara Kingsolver since the very early 90's - but she came out with one called The Poisonwood Bible which really increased her popularity. (I think it's was Oprah Book Club - maybe that's why... Ha "maybe"??)
Anyway - it's a long one but very good.
It's a bit of a recovery week following a hectic last week. We had a lot of work stuff, and people roofing and redoing siding. So lots of stuff.
Idi Amin was a complete bastard, but his sins largely went under-reported in the US. Similar to the way the tragedy of Zimbabwe is being under-reported. I have to admit to having limited fascination with Africa of Latin America - but Asia draws and fascinates me constantly.
You take lovely pictures of your children btw.
Missed Tuesday because I wasn't feeling well. Now I can't wait to get out in the sunshine. Hope you get your book and relax.
Hugs,
Connie
Oh and good luck with removing the training wheels...very important day!
Hugs,
Connie

Everything is on my mind!
There's a lot of things I love about Africa, sometimes I think that only over there can you do work that is entirely relevant. That's not true, but over there it must be more visible sometimes. And obviously, quite needed.
I wish him luck in his new adventure.

On my mind is work and rest. My week begins at work today and after installing tile on the upstairs bathroom and hallway, I am in need of rest.
Rest is in my mind
